At Influx Community Cares Foundation, Inc., we are committed to transforming lives through education, empowerment, and opportunity. Our goal is to provide essential resources and support in financial literacy, professional development, and strategic mentorship. VISION & HISTORY.
Influx Vision:
We envision a future where every individual, regardless of background, has the knowledge, resources, and support necessary to achieve their dreams of homeownership, business success, and personal excellence.
Influx History:
Here at Influx, we have helped over 150 aspiring business owners start their small business, by providing free workshops that help them prepare their finances, their credit, and their mindset for business ownership. We have taught over 250 homeowners the steps and the process of becoming a homeowner, while also connecting them with our Real Estate and Lending Partners who helped get them funded and secure their first home. Over the past several years, we have also served over 400 students, from local elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and colleges by teaching them financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills that can be shared for generations to come.
Influx Impact:
In 2018, we were asked to implement our B.O.S.S. Mentorship Program at one of the middle schools, here in Pitt County. The school assigned us a group of middle school boys, who were considered their "high flyers" or "children with behavior challenges". After one semester of participating in our mentorship program, the school saw a 54% decrease in their behavior issues and suspensions. The young men went from not wanting to come to the group to wanting to be there and stay there longer. This goes to show that anything is possible, when we believe in them and show them that we do.
In addition to that, in 2024, we were able to partner with Rivers East Workforce Development Board and NC Works to launch our first Workforce Development Initiative. This initiative started with two interns and grew into a cohort of six interns, who assisted us in the areas of Social Media Management, Marketing, Client Engagement, Bookkeeping, Client Engagement, Sales, etc.
Our interns are trained in the areas of workforce development, and/or entrepreneurial development (a pathway of their choosing) and they are educated, equipped & empowered to start businesses and build the leadership and skills needed for success in their future careers.
These stories, and more, are examples of the impact we have been able to make here at Influx. Please know that we are seeking partners like you who see the vision, and desire to partner with us, as we continue to make impact in our community and throughout the world.
IMPACT.
Increase Homeownership: Empower at least 500 individuals to become homeowners within the next five years.
Entrepreneurial Success: Support the launch and growth of 200 minority-owned businesses over the next three years.
Holistic Development: Equip 1,000 young individuals with the necessary skills to succeed personally and professionally by 2025.
COMMUNITYPARTNERS.
Partner with us at Influx Community Cares Foundation, Inc. to create meaningful impact through volunteer opportunities, sponsorships and collaborative events. We encourage community members to contribute their time and expertise to support our initiatives. Additionally, with the help of our partners, we host events to raise awareness, share knowledge, and build networks among participants and stakeholders. Together, we can empower individuals and foster community growth.
